Step 1 – Anaesthesia

Your doctor will recommend the best option for you although usually if we perform only upper eyelid surgery it is performed under local anaesthesia and if we perform lower eyelid surgery or complementary treatments such as cheek lipofilling we also perform sedation to put the patient at ease.

Step 2 – The incision

The incision lines for eyelid surgery are designed so that the scars are well hidden within the natural structures of the eyelid region.
Excess upper eyelid skin can be corrected through an incision in the natural crease of the eyelid which also allows for the repositioning of fat deposits and the tightening of muscles and tissues.
Lower eyelid treatment can be performed through an incision just below the lower lash line when in addition to fat you are interested in removing excess skin or more frequently through a transconjunctival incision i.e. inside the lower eyelid so that there is no visible incision.

Step 3 – Closing the incisions
