I started treatment here with the best mouth survey I’ve ever had with Cara using the latest high tech equipment and was given a clear dental plan.I was personally very encouraged with the health summary for my gums and teeth as I’m 61 and as an adolescent in the 70’s had 4 double teeth pulled and the whole UK train tracks of amalgam in most double teeth by the end of my teens, several ‘on trend’ root canals in the 1980’s which wasn’t the best start for strong teeth in older age. I spent the 1990’s slowly having amalgam out and gold or porcelain or composite fillings put in.I’ve seen a lot of dentists over the years and am only writing all this to encourage you if you are nervous or know you need some work.At Optismile I had the most gentle drilling I have ever had on an old large filling that needed replacing.It was superb work. Even the anesthetic was just what was needed and wore off gently and quickly.Highly recommended. Great value.

My experience with OptiSmile was great. I managed to get an appointment very quickly for my tooth ache and the support over phone in preparation of the appointment was much welcome and appreciated. Dr Clifford is very friendly and helped me out efficiently without having to go through unnecessary screens and test.

The best experience. I was suffering from a cracked tooth whilst travelling and contacted OptiSmile on NYE. I received fast and friendly responses with an appointment on the 2nd. They quickly identified and resolved the issue for me. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The actual space is beautifully designed and belongs in Switzerland. Dr Clifford was beyond amazing. Best experience I’ve ever had with a dentist. Facilities and technology they use are the best I’ve ever seen. I went in with an issue my dentist had recommended a root canal for and wanted a second opinion. Dr Clifford said it wasn’t necessary and fixed my issue in a much less invasive fashion. Thankyou so much!

Harris is THE guy to do invisilign with in South Africa and I can see why. 10/10 for results! Really enjoyed his personal and friendly approach ...he may even have convinced me that I like going to the dentist now. This is the most wonderful practice. I needed a lot of work done to my teeth and although I have a fear of dentists, I felt very relaxed and comfortable. I never had to wait, and the service was extremely efficient. I am very happy with the results.

Great service! I was on a cruise and chipped a tooth while at sea. I wanted to find a dentist at our next port in South Africa. I searched online and found OptiSmile. I was able to book an appointment online. The office was professional and the dentist fixed my tooth so that I could enjoy the rest of my cruise without worry. I highly recommend this practice.

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. I had been to many dentists all over the world to fix my teeth but all said it would take an average of two years. My entire treatment was complete within 4 months and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My teeth are perfect now and I cannot stop smiling. The staff and doctors were incredibly supportive and friendly and were always available to answer any questions. This is by far the best experience I’ve ever had at any dentist and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the best!

I couldn't recommend this practice more. I got injection molding, fillings and general teeth whitening done. They only use the best equipment, I felt super safe and comfortable every consultation/treatment. The offices/rooms are beautifully designed, far better than any other practice I've been to.Kinan (dentist), Olwethu (assistant) and all the other assistants involved in my treatment have been amazing. Super friendly, more than willing to explain their processes & help you pick the best treatment plan, and clearly care about their patients. Clear professionals, they're so good at what they do.I will say it's quite expensive but if you're able to pay for it, it is worth every cent!

I couldn’t have asked for more caring, kind and compassionate people to help me with my complicated case. I had a car accident many years ago and had prior work done by another practice which I started to experience severe problems with. I was so anxious to have them fixed but I’m so glad I came here and went ahead. They were incredible at taking care of my case and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Dr Clifford & his wife even came in on the weekend to help me when I was experiencing pain as well as dropped off painkillers and a care package when I was too weak to leave my house. I had to come in for an appointment on my birthday and the whole practice sang happy birthday to me. Thank you Optismile. I am very grateful for your professionalism, your thoughtfulness and for giving me my smile back! I will recommend you to everyone I know.

Some years ago, OptiSmile is where I went to sort out some major problems with my teeth - I had to undergo four weeks of tough work to restore my teeth just before my wedding. I can say that the work that was done here was wonderful, the dentists are well trained and really worked carefully and thoroughly.Now, present day, they're still a great office, building on their great reputation, I mostly use them for cleaning and small dental services, they do really great work, I always remember the day I walked in and the fear of a million suns was quenched because of the wonderful attitude people have here towards their patients.Fazlin has been cleaning my teeth since day one and she's always been one of the kind spirits that I always remember from this office, and she only improves on every visit.No lasting teeth sensitivity, pain or problems.

No better dental office than OptiSmile!I’m originally from Germany and according to Google and common opinion, dentists in Germany are supposed to be one the best in the world, however, I have never been to a German Dentist who’s getting even close to the quality and competence of OptiSmile!I came to OptiSmile for the first time in 2021, after struggling for a long time with uncomfortable bite and some other issues. So I went among other things through an Invisalign treatment with Dr Harris.I’m absolutely amazed by Dr Harris knowledge and dedication in his field as well as for Dr Clifford’s attention to detail for every single teeth. Also, I always felt welcomed by every single staff member. I’m not exaggerating if I’d say, I’d fly to Cape Town for OptiSmile from other parts of the world!OptiSmile definitely more than just a dental office, I couldn't recommend it more!

On 21 December I broke my temporary denture plate and contacted Optismile's 24 hours service. Despite the late hour Clifford contacted me to ascertain the problem. I sent him pics of the broken plate and he referred me to a Dental Laboratory The lab on the 22 Dec took 5 hours to completely restore my plate doing a superb job of strengthening it and reworking it to fit properly. Far better than it had ever been before. Clifford kept in touch during the whole process without there being any recompense for his time. I must admit I have not come across a similar service in Jhb and am delighted that such a service exists in CT. All strength to its continuing success. I don’t believe you’d get better care or service anywhere in the world!I was a patient of Clifford Yudelman prior to moving from Sea Point to Montagu. I had an emergency 2 months ago and was unable to see the local dentist as fully booked but managed to get an appointment at a village close by.Problem not properly resolved and a week ago it flared up again…..badly! Waiting period to get back to see the previous dentist but when things got serious I contacted Clifford. I hadn’t seen him since prior to lockdown and even though I was 200km away he went out of his way to assist me, getting an appointment with the local dentist the same day, sending all my information on record through to the new dentists room and constant contact to keep me posted as things were unfolding. His prognosis was correct too and I’m now on strong antibiotics and know my problems will soon be a thing of the past.Clifford, I really can’t thank you enough for your help and outstanding care, and as I started off my review will end the same way….I don’t believe you’d get better care or service anywhere in the world! THANK YOU!

Je suis tellement soulagé que je sois allé voir le Dr Yudelman! J'ai eu beaucoup de mal à essayer de résoudre un problème créé par un ancien dentiste. Il a pris tellement de soin et a pris du temps supplémentaire pour trouver la source du problème. Il s'est assuré de tout m'expliquer en détail. Il était gentil. Il a examiné la situation dans son ensemble et a même examiné mon problème de migraine en cours et a demandé au Dr Harris de me consulter à ce sujet, offrant une solution possible. De plus, son prix était sérieusement raisonnable. Je ne saurais trop recommander Optismile. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Visiting the Dentist can be an anxious experience for some people but wait till you visit Optismile - it will leave you wanting to see your Dentist more often than not. Dr Yudelman's practice came highly recommended by a friend and after much deliberation, decided to book our appt. It turned out to be a very efficient and admin focused pre-appointment which eliminates the whole form completion process when you arrive at the practice. The appt booking is streamlined and the experience at the practice is clean, soft and open. Dr Yudelman is very professional and explains what he's doing and what to expect as he moves through the check up process. The receptionist is warm and welcoming and they have a very rigid hygiene process when you enter the practice, even giving you a free surgical mask to wear. The place feels like you're walking into a casual Scandinavian 'remote-working' environment. I loved it and cannot recommend it enough! Oh yes, and my teeth look great!

During Stage 4 Covid-19 National Lockdown, I developed a dental emergency and urgently needed a dentist. I contacted Dr Clifford Yudelman, principal dentist and founder of OptiSmile and he speedily and effectively arranged a consultation for me with Dr Tony Ashberg, an endodontist at OptiSmile.It was with skilled expertise that Dr Tony found the cause of the pain previously difficult to diagnose correctly. In order to optimise treatment, both doctors collaborated with each other and did not hesitate to refer me for oral surgery which turned out to be very successful. This high level of collaboration inspires confidence. Their friendly approach, empathy, kindness and high level of care was very comforting and re-assuring.After the initial visit, I required further interventions and have been treated with the same level of expertise, care and warmth. What impressed me was the state-of-the art diagnostic technology for dental treatments.I would sincerely like to thank the team at OptiSmile for their five star treatment. I am currently on vacation in Cape Town, suffering with acute dental pain. The front of house staff at OptiSmile arranged an appointment for me at the last minute to suit my needs. The dentist with whom I had my first consultation was thorough and excellent in her approach. What was most impressive however was her willingness to ask her colleague for a second opinion given the complex nature of the problem. For me, this is a sign of a true professional who collaborates with a colleague to come to the best outcome for the patient. Dr. Yudelman, the owner and colleague in whom the first dentist sought counsel, was equally thorough in his approach. Moreover, given that I am continuing on my travels along the Garden Route, he provided details for me to stay in touch with him in relation to my progress and if needs be, to arrange follow up treatment through a recommendation of his along the Garden Route. The service I experienced at this practice was nothing short of exemplary. If you are a resident of Cape Town or simply a tourist with a spot of bad luck in need of dental help, I could not recommend OptiSmile at SeaPoint more highly.

After a year of monthly visits I can honestly say I never had a single bad experience. Always met with friendly smiles from the ladies at the front counter. If there was an option of giving a 6/5 review, I would. After going to many dentists in different countries, I've never experienced anything like OptiSmile. I would rather fly to South Africa and get my teeth done my Dr Yudelman, just for peace of mind. OptiSmile is miles ahead of the game. From the minute you walk in, you feel instantly at ease and welcome. (Not something I have ever felt, walking into a dentist) This is all thanks to their amazing team and the beautiful practice - filled with natural light. Dr Clifford Yudelman is an outstanding dentist. I felt NO pain. Not even from the numerous injections (something I'm petrified of) OR getting my gums lasered!!! If anything, I felt far too relaxed! Lying back in a comfy chair, with an incredible sea view and a blanket to keep me warm, listening to music, knowing that I was in an experts hands. I had a CEREC done, all in one sitting. While Dr Yudelman walked me through the entire process - the technology is state of the art! I was talked through the entire process and made extremely comfortable. I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. So friendly, efficient and extremely professional. Thank you for looking after me, and fitting me in at such short notice!
