The UNICA clinic in Prague is mainly focused on international patients travelling to Prague airport and specialises in fertility, obstetrics and urology, gynaecology and embryology. I would start by saying that the lower star reviews have proven to be the case.We had complementary calls with different clinics and ended up going for Unica as the communication seemed good.Unfortunately, we were speaking with a general staff, most likely marketing staff and communication was good with her. It was easy to reach out to her and get a reply. Ljiljana was great and now I can tell that I chose the clinic solely based on her efforts. Sadly, this did not continue after the complimentary appointment with the doctor.The appointment with the doctor was with the doctor and a coordinator. They could speak English with some hurdles and some things were lost in translation. They did speak in Czech with each other at some points during the call.There was an offer to a discount and we ended up paying way earlier before the end of the year, even though we were only going to do the treatment by the end of the first quarter.In the beginning we were told that we'd only need to be in Prague from Day 6 of my cycle, and that even day 6 scan was optional. But for day 10 I would have to be in Prague. I was told that I would only need to stay in Prague for 14 days.After we paid the communication deff decreased. I kept telling them when my cycles were. I chased for information about everything and even there was different information provided throughout the whole experience.When it came to day 20 it came to my surprise that one of the medications had to be administered by a medical staff. Then supposedly they told me a week before the scan on day 20. Now, in the UK it takes time to get a GP or nurse appointment. And private clinics do not administer medication they did not prescribe. And my day 20 was Friday. So I looked everywhere and no private clinics would accept injecting the medication as they did not prescribe. The GP had no appointments available. And I have worked on the NHS and I know walk-ins won't inject or take blood or anything like that from outside sources.I was unable to start the treatment because they did not provide information in a timely manner.After that we spoke with Ljiljana again and she arranged a different coordinator who gave very different information once again.All in all we don't trust this clinic at all and we're now chasing a refund. We have not had any doctors or nurse appointments since the complementary appointment. We did not have any clear information and had to be the ones chasing after things.Now we have had IVF before in the UK and we had doctors appointments and nurse appointments way before prep month. Then at scan on day 20 we knew what to do if we got the go ahead call. So it is not that it is not possible to do this, it is that this clinic's service is poor and communication is missing.Keep in mind we never had appointments beside the complementary one. This is also a red flag.There are several red flags.At the moment we are chasing a refund as we did not have any real services and there is no communication. We could not start a cycle because of this, and had expenses because of this failed start due to lack of communication and good service.If I could give zero stars I would.

You're reading this because you're searching for an IVF Clinic. I was in your shoes. Combing through reviews, stats, treatment options, etc. Let me tell you this: no matter the outcome here, from our very first video call with the doctor I knew we found the right clinic. This clinic is easy to work with and had a variety of treatment options. From the admins at the desk, my personal assistant, to the nurses, doctors ,the lab these people cared about our results. They were fighting for us, WITH us. I really felt special working with this team. They are very communicative and answered questions quickly professional and it's evident, they know IVF.Again, no matter the outcome I will still recommend this clinic. Every woman, every story, every journey is so different...no one can guarantee this will work or your dreams will come true. Or that even this clinic is the best one for you. But we CAN tell you to keep fighting and trust the process.

We have A LOT to say about our experience at UNICA.We have been trying for a baby for a couple of years and were advised to go to a clinic that specialised in older women. We had such a terrible time there- the staff were rude, the doctors very brusque, the clinic shabby and the whole experience felt like a huge money making opportunity for them. We were not given clear information about our treatment or how much it would cost. There was no human touch. We wasted lots of money and time and felt very despondent.We eventually found our way to UNICA. The experience has been entirely the opposite.Our first meeting was eye opening. We had a very frank discussion with a doctor who told us what our tests results meant and how it was almost impossible to get pregnant naturally. We had had these results for years and no one had, up to this point, even told us this basic fact. She laid out our treatment options and we felt for the first time informed about our situation, our chances and our treatment. We were so grateful.The clinic is calm and clean. I have never seen it overcrowded. When you arrive you don't have to wait for hours and if things are delayed you are informed. The receptionists are so helpful and know who you are and seem to genuinely care about being there.The meetings with the doctors were always positive. We were lucky to be in their care. They all treated us as individuals and seemed genuinely to want to help.Above all it meant a huge amount to have a co-ordinator. Lucie is incredible. She kept our spirits up when we needed it and reminded us to stay realistic when we needed it to. She explained things patiently to us many many times and was there for us the whole way. She saw me when I woke up from the anesthesia. She said sometimes "there is magic" and we think that's what she is.I feel quite emotional writing this. It was the happiest experience for us. And whether or not we have a baby we will always be grateful to every one at UNICA who provided such brilliant care.

I’m currently a customer and my experience has been mixed so far. I will say that the doctors are professional and know what they are doing, and the staff is generally friendly and encouraging.But there is a huge communication problem, which means I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone from abroad. Let me explain why.I think it’s mainly a structural or management issue. There might be either too many customers or too little staff. Therefore, communication is slow and honestly not satisfying at all. It’s not unusual to wait 48 hours on a response on a scan, which leaves you hanging not knowing if you are ok to continue or not. It’s really stressful to be in that situation.Other ‘not urgent’ questions can take even longer to get a response, and often time requires you to follow up more than once to get an answer. The longest I’ve waited it one month.I also experienced that they asked me to get a blood test taken with a very short notice. I received an email late at night, requesting a blood test the same morning, which was not possible for me. After I said I couldn’t do it on such short notice and asking for other possibilities, they never returned to me about that.I’ve also reached out to a manager, who never got back to me. And I’ve called several times during office hours, but no one picks up the phone!Secondly the price list is not very logical, and there are several things that have not been clear. The package that guarantees 5 blastocyst will cost extra for every transfer..We only got 1 blastocyst and even though it says two fresh cycles are included we still had to pay 990 Euros for the second fresh transfer (and every next transfer, so it quickly ads up if you are not successful the first or second time.)After a failed attempt there is no follow up or evaluation from the clinic. They don’t seem to have much interest in figuring out if there is a reason for failure. They just want to continue with a new round… when I asked for advice, I got some suggestions, but they wouldn’t tell if they thought it was a good idea or not - that was up to us to decide. But I’m not a doctor and in order to make some of those decisions, I’ll at least need basic info such as the quality of the embryos. I had to request that four times and it took one month to get that information.There is no direct communication with the doctors, it all goes through emails with the coordinator, so if you have follow up questions to the answer you get, you’ll end up waiting a long time for your answer.A last comment is that they don’t use an encrypted/secured server for communication so we’ve been sharing vulnerable and personal communications on email, which I actually really regret. I asked the first coordinator to delete everything but I never got a confirmation on that.If I had a chance to change my decision, I would not have chosen, and I’ll really recommend everyone to think twice before they buy a package at Unica, especially if you are traveling from another country.

After 3 cycles ( 2 cycles were with donor eggs ) did not manage to have a child. Pity ,after positive reviews of the clinic in the google and donor friends I chose this clinic with the high hopes to be successful unfortunately I can't recommend this clinic to my friends or ivf fertility/ donor friends.I had very positive experience with my coordinator Klara, polite , helpful and always responsive to my emails x

Today I got the results... yes I am pregnant. I can't describe my joy, after the last miscarriage. This success is due to the direct response of Ljiljana Pavlovic, who from the first moment explained everything in detail. Always positive and always smiling so as to eliminate my fears. She was followed by Maria Tzvetkova, with her simplicity and kindness. Girls, I'm so glad to meet you and that you've always been there for me on this difficult journey!

After 6 months of research and reflection, we selected on Unica Prague as our destination to start our fertility journey. Not only was the staff well trained, the communication was flawless in English and every step was handled with great care and attention. The stresses about fertility and IVF are high and the Unica team provided a warm and nurturing experience at every step of the way. We are so happy with our experience and highly recommend Unica to all people needing assisted reproduction. Prague is a world class city and the cost is but a fraction of what we would have paid should we have chosen a US based solution.

We found the Unica clinic over the internet quite by accident and it turned out that we chose well. For our part, a good experience and our recommendation. The main goal was to get pregnant and it worked from the first time. We are very happy and thank the whole team especially to our coordinator Nevena with whom we communicated the most and who guided us through the whole process. Thank you and see you again

Me and my husband had Very Very Pleasant experiences at the UNICA Clinic in Prague. Thank God that He had made us find this clinic online and brought us there to try one more treatment!Well, we had a long journey to have babies until we got there; 4 IUIs and 4 IVFs for 6years. Nothing worked for us and we had very disappointing experiences with other clinics. It seemed like they did not care about patients; their unkindness, carelessness, and indifference made the journey more challenging and tough. And they never give you clear answers when you ask questions especially about cost of individual items you do.When we first saw the UNICA's website, however, everything was extremely clear and straightforward. We were very impressed by that. And they responded to our emails quickly for the time difference. They are 7 hours ahead of us.They sent us the treatment plan, the itemized price list, etc. and we could understand how it would go and how much we would pay right away.They assign you a coordinator to help you with everything, A to Z. Our coordinator was Klara and we were SO SO BLESSED to have HER!She was always SWEET and KIND and willing to help us in small or big matters. She was so smart and thoughtful. There was another lady, named Pavla who responded to our emails at the beginning and she was also very kind and helpful. I really appreciate her, too, even though we did not get to meet her there.Anyways, there was no hassle or problem for us to enter Prague, Czech Republic though it was during the pandemic time thanks to the very detalied explanations and documents provided by Klara.When we first got to the UNICA Clinic, everyone at the reception desk was kind. Klara interpreted for us when we met the doctor Cepelak.We really liked the doctor Cepelak because he always had this big warm smile on his face. He makes the atmosphere very light and joyful by speaking in a caring way, smiling brightly.And we could see he knows what he's doing. After he checked my TSH level, he told me to take the thyroid medicine immediately to make the hormone level the most ideal to have babies.No previous doctors mentioned that to me. They would say, it is normal and that was it.Yes, it was in a normal range, but on the higher side of that normal range.I would always feel cold, fatigued, and my skin was too tough and dry/itchy, etc.Dr. Cepelak said, it is good to have TSH level lower than 2.5. By the time, I had taken the thyroid medicine for about 2 weeks, I started feeling very sharp in mind, had no brain fog anymore, my body felt warm, and the skin dryness was gone. WOW! I FELT JUST GOOD!The transfer went very smoothly too because the doctor was very skilled and experienced! He did not have any issues putting the catheter in like the previous doctors had.It was just quick and simple for him to do the transfer.The quality of the embryo was best - AA.I guess it was 5AA0.Best of Best!!!Well, Klara told me to use the urine pregnancy tester on day 14th, but being so impatient ...or if you have tried IVFs, you would understand how it feels to wait ...after you get the transfer done...that 14 days feel FOREVER!I tested on the 7th day; at first, i did not see the test line...waiting...waiting...I started seeing a faint line!! How HAPPY!! The reason why I wanted to test that day was that I saw implantation blood that morning.I continued testing each morning to see the test line getting darker each day...On 14th day, I got my lab done; and me and my husband were so thrilled to get the result!!! It was 559! I was Pregnant for sure!!I am now almost 5weeks pregnant...waiting to see my OB-Gyn for ultrasound.I just cannot believe this...I AM PREGNANT!All my family members are partying...THANK GOD!It was ALL GOD who opened our eyes and hearts to find UNICA and go to UNICA to try this last time!!!UNICA IS BEST of BEST.THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!I WOULD RECOMMEND UNICA TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO HAVE BABIES! THANK YOU SO MUCH, UNICA! GOD BLESS YOU!

We chose UNICA because it gave us the impression that the information was transparent, communication was fast, when we were still considering which clinic we should decide for. But we were very disappointed during the treatment. Since we have only got two embryos and no succuss with the first transfer, we will find a new clinic to continue our treatment if no success with the second round. Here are my complaints:1. From the first skype consultation to the present appointment our coordinator kept rushing us to ask questions, as if we were wasting their time.2. We got the prescription without being explained what they’re for, we only could look it up on internet.3. After we bought the first round of medication, and came for the check-up at the clinic, the doctor and coordinator asked us if we have enough medicine. After our reply that we do not know and they need to tell us (we are only the patients) they gave a us a new prescription with way too many packs on it. We then needed to calculate ourselves how many packs we really need to buy.4. We’re told to do the ultrasound in our own country and only after we finished it, we received the form requiring our doctor to fill in the result.5. Our coordinator went on holiday during our treatment (which was okay), but didn’t communicate well enough with her back-up about the arrangement for us.6. On the day of the first ultrasound check, they almost forgot to do the blood test for my husband.7. On the day of transfer, I was told to be at the clinic at 8am, drank water before we went there as instructed. The coordinator first told me I only needed wait for 30 minutes or so. But in the end, I went to the OP-room for the transfer at around 10:30am, during the waiting time we had to pay for the freezing fee, waited for the invoice before we could continue, and I needed to go to toilet for 8 times to bit by bit release my bladder.8. We were only told the quality of embryos when I was on the bed for the transfer and only after I asked twice. We did not get anything written, only verbally. They guarantee two high quality embryos, but there is no way to know that it’s true.9. We got the invoice with a smaller number than we had paid, asked them for a corrected one, got rejected in the e-mail with “thank you for understanding”. (you gotta be kidding us!)10. I needed to actively ask what I should prepare for the next treatment. Then we got two names of tests we should ideally do, again without explanation. I wanted to do the check-up and tests in UNICA-Brno, and I was told sorry they couldn’t help.All the promised good services turned out to be bitter in practice. Is that because we didn't choose the "exclusive" package? Well then we could only say good-bye.

Už první návštěva byla velmi zvláští, ale nevěnovala jsem tomu pozornost, protože objednání přes linku bylo velmi milé a příjemné. Dostala jsem veškeré informace a slečna byla velmi milá a příjemná. Když jsem přišla na kliniku v Praze - kyselá recepční, které nebyla co k čemu aby řekla dobrý den, odbyla mě ať si sednu a prostě počkám. Tak jsem čekala. Na to že jsem byla objednaná, nikdo se mi nehodlal věnovat. Po půl hodině jsem dostala dotazníky, ty jsem vyplnila a dál čekala. Přišla paní ředitelka, přes celou recepci začala brblat proč tu jako jsem, že na mě nemá čas ať to prostě nějak recepční zařídí, ale čas na mě prostě nemá. Ředitelka přišla ke mě řekla mi že bohužel nemá čas a že mi večer kolem 6-7 hodiny zavolá. Řekla mi že mi někdo vezme někde krev a že 14 dní bude trvat testování. Přišel jediný světlý bod celé návštěvy a to slečna která mi vzala krev a dobře jsme si u toho popovídali. Večer jsem čekala hovor od paní ředitelky. No na hovor jsem čekala přes 18 dní, a nakonec jsem stejně musela přes recepci musela shánět ředitelku já sama. Skoro jsem dostala ještě vynadáno, že prostě měl někdo dovolenou a že ona ho zastupuje (což mě vůbec nezajímalo). šla jsem na druhou schůzku. Ředitelka byla nepříjemná, opět jsem čekala a čekala a čekala. Nikdo nevěděl jestli se mi brala nebo nebrala krev, co se mi dělalo nebo nedělalo za tesy. Kartu nemohli ani najít. Pořád jsem se to snažila brát jako že toho mají hodně a v době dovolených a pandemie, že se prostě stalo. Dostala jsem léky, žádné informace, žádné pořádné vysvětlení (ještě že už jsem jednou darovala a věděla jsem jak to chodí). No ale měla jsem jiné léky a potřebovala jsem se s ředitelkou poradit co a jak. Zteelfonu co jsem na ní měla (jak ona říkala každou návštěvu 'kdyby cokoliv volejte jsem na telefonu pořád' - haha vtip dobrý) telefon který jsem na ní měla, že kterého mi volala nebyl její, ale nějaké kolegyně. Takže se dovolat někomu vůbec, abych dostala informace byl obrovský problém. Druhá kontrola na který byl i primář byla ještě lepší - byla jsem objednaná na nějaký čas, čas se posunul a nikdo mě neinformoval, a když jsem řekla že ok, tak mi řekli že vlastně se to ještě o hodinu nebo dvě posune. Bez vysvětlení bez čehokoliv dalšího. Nakonec jsem se dostala na řadu i po čekání a ředitel i primář - to jednání? Bože co to mělo být? Hnus!!!!! Mluvili semnou jako s největším póvlem na planetě. To jak bude probíhat odebrání vajíček mi také nikdo neřekl, nikdo mi neřekl co si vzít sebou co a jak, NIC! ( z minulého procesu jsem si pamatovala spoustu věcí proto jsem byla připravená)Nic méně odebrání mám za sebou, naštěstí vše bylo bez komplikací, ale na klinuku do Prahy už mě NIKDY A NIKDO NEDOSTANE. My husband and I had a positive experience. The professional care throughout the entire procedure was greater than I had expected. My coordinator was amazing throughout and made sure I was always well taken care of. The pricing was lower than anywhere I could find at home and the quality was better than I had experienced before.

U procesu sam. Ali zelim da pohvalim osoblje koje je vrlo ljubazno, Doktor ti odgovori na sva pitanja i sve ti lepo objasni. Naravno zelim da se zahvalim mojoj kordinatorki Biljani. We highly recommend this clinic. My husband and I had concerns about traveling outside of Canada for treatment. However, the coordinators spoke very good English and were very helpful. Everything was explained in detail before our trip. Upon arrival to the clinic, the entire staff was very welcoming and professional. Dr. Cepelak did a remarkable job in making us feel safe and secure.

Trotz der Furcht vor der Behandlung im Ausland übertrafen die Dienstleistungen in Unica sehr unsere Erwartungen. Das Personal war schon auf unseren ersten Besuch vorbereitet. Unser Arzt kam sogar auf den Empfang und begrüßte uns, während wir alle Amtsgeschäfte erledigten. Das haben wir vorher nie erlebt und in der vorherigen Klinik wurden wir als namenloser Kunde ohne Beziehung geheilt. Alle waren während ganzer Behandlung sehr geduldig und widmeten uns persönliche Pflege. Zum Beispiel, ich informierte die Klinik vorher darüber, dass wir dorthin 5 Stunden in der Nacht fahren, und unser Koordinator vorbereitete uns Kaffee am hellen und gemütlichen Empfang. Es handelt sich nur um Kleinigkeit, aber es hat uns geholfen, sich mehr entspannt zu fühlen.
